Penn Township Ambulance is currently hiring Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics to join our team of professionals.

Minimum Requirements For Employment
Valid and Current PADOH-EMT or PADOH-EMT Paramedic

  • 18 years of age or older
  • CPR/AED Healthcare Provider
  • Valid PA Driver’s License
  • NIMS 100, 200, 700 & 800
  • EVOC PADOH Approved
  • Havardous Materials Awareness
  • Weapons of Mass Destruction
  • Basic Vehicle Rescue Awareness

Additional Training Requirements To Be Employed as a Medical-Rescue Technician
Penn Township Ambulance employees Medical-Rescue Technicians in addition to regular Paramedics and EMT positions. Our Medical-Rescue Technicians have additional training in technical rescue disciplines and are also members of the Westmoreland County Team 915 – Technical Rescue Division of Penn Township Ambulance. To become a member a Medical-Rescue Technician is required to maintain the following rescue certifications and remain employed by Penn Township Ambulance.

  • Basic Vehicle Rescue – Technician
  • Special Vehicle Rescue
  • Basic Rigging and Rope I and II
  • Confined Space Rescue
  • Water Rescue Awareness
